Trained to work as a team

Introduction, Preparation, Operation, Usage, Finalisation. Five words that describe the cycle of a project, an item, or a program. In this instance, that would be the ECo-C Training of its certified, highly qualified, specialized, and properly certified trainers.

In a way, the training of a trainer and teaching of a teacher is one of the deep and abiding problems of our society. A person can be taught how to learn, and how to be an expert in a given field. But can they really have a teacher teach them how to teach? With children, it is perhaps possible, because they must be taught how to see the world through the eyes of children, but can one be taught to teach adults?

Perhaps the answer is no. But any person aiming to hire and be represented by good teacher could never accept such an answer; thus teachers are taught, not how they will teach, but what methods of teaching have in the past shown the most success. This is known as “didactics”, which quite literally means “teaching” in ancient Greek; along with those, aspiring teachers learn methodology, which is to say what methods might be used in the pursuit of teaching.

We have, in the past, repeated often enough how much importance the IPKeurope attaches to providing a high-quality certificate, and why. That is why the organization has set up such a stringent Quality Assurance mechanism, after all.

Altogether, this calls for stringent training of the trainers, and stringent controlling that they have really learned enough to be able to teach it forward.

With the recent launch of ECo-C Hungary, it is Hungarian trainers who are now participating in IIPKeurope’s certification process.  On the sixth of September, the day when Austrian schoolchildren first returned to school, six individuals participated in a training module, the first step to become certified ECo-C trainers and testers.

We, at eco-c.eu, would like to wish them the best of luck in this effort, and hope that the presentations they give in the second part of this seminar, to be held in October, is a credit to their already extensive skills and knowledge.
