More ECo-C Erlebnis days took place on May 10th and 11th at the offices of IPKeurope in Vienna. Naturally, the presentation included a roundup of related international developments, as well as the latest ECo-C Info clips. However, this event was labeled “Erlebnis”; it could therefore not be limited to a simple informative event concerning the certificate’s benefits; they had to be experienced by the participants.

In our over-certified world, everyone has one or more qualifications; this means that a new qualification must demonstrate that it is more than a paper for people to swear by. With respect to the ECo-C, the value of the degree can be demonstrated in two ways only: the first is, by experience and use, and would take a long time to become apparent. The second is, by asking human resource managers and representatives from businesses to come and take part in a sample module, evaluate the benefits of their employees understanding these important rules of social and professional interaction. The latter is exactly what happened over those two days: certified ECo-C trainers from the BFI Oberösterreich (an institution for adult education) were offered the opportunity to present the materials they teach to representatives and human resource managers working for renowned Austrian businesses.

At the end of the program, all ten participants, representing firms of the caliber of Miba AGSema Maschinenbau GmbHFRAI Elektromaschinenbau GmbHGIG Holding GmbH or ALIS - Altenheim-Implacementstiftung expressed their pleasure and confidence in the existence of the ECo-C, a training program for social and human competency.  In turn, IPKeurope welcomed their professional assessment of the program, which, courtesy of their positions, they are eminently qualified to evaluate. Overall, the endorsement of the participants goes denotes conviction, of the kind that can only come from first-hand experience.

That it goes well beyond the lukewarm optimism associated with advertisement makes sense in light of the content: when remembering the ECo-C Erlebnis days of May 2010, participants will note the importance of discussion with other professionals of equivalent stature, from similar professional fields, who all had the opportunity to actively involve themselves with a sample of the ECo-C Communication module, and who all approved it as highly useful in the business world.
